BRENDAN MAHATOO
July 14, 1992 – May 29, 2023
On May 29 2023, Brendan left this world to go onto his next journey. For 3 years we have mourned for him and not a day has passed where we have not thought of him and the joy he brought to our lives. We miss his laugh, his smile, his loving presence, and his energy.
Those who knew Bren knew that he was passionate in all aspects of life. His work, family, and hobbies took top priority. We continue to share in his passions and honour his memory as best we can, despite the sadness in our hearts.
The bench dedicated to Brendan and his father by Brendan's mother, Sherri Mahatoo, in the Island Shore Park, is a place to reminisce about times shared together. It was a spot of special significance for Brendan, and it is visited often by his loved ones. Brendan's legacy continues at J.H Bruns Collegiate and the Faculty of Law at the University of Manitoba, through scholarships established in his name that are given to students who exemplify the best qualities of our beloved Brendan.
Your life was a blessing to us, your memory a treasure;
you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
