It breaks our hearts to lose our lifelong friend Bruce, now forever with the love of his life Linda. Keeping in touch for decades, seeing one another when we all could. Bruce’s love of antiques, antique cars and stories of Winnipeg history. His great collection of books on Winnipegs past. You used to say- stories to make you sick when we missed great deals. Together with your sister, brother and extended families we love you and grieve your loss. - Posted by: Beverley Downey , Larry Downey (Old friends) on: May 24, 2026

I grew up next door to Bruce and his family, but haven't seen him for many years. Bruce was six years older than me, so he had his own circle of friends. Still, he always managed to take the time to stop and talk and ask me how I was doing. I remember one Friday night - I was about nine or ten years old, and busy trying to put together a home made stock car out of two-by-fours and old wagon parts. I didn't have a clue. Anyway, Bruce saw me having trouble and recruited his friend from across the lane, Ken Timm. In no time, my car was assembled and they were pushing me down Hazeldell, full blast. A nice guy, who came from a good family. - Posted by: Robert Marshall (neighbour) on: May 23, 2026
