It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Murray Allan Pirt on May 25, 2025, at the age of 65.
Born in Winnipeg on October 26, 1959, Murray spent most of his life in Winnipeg, where he built both a successful career and many lasting friendships while raising his children.
After graduating from Red River College with a degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, he began a long and dedicated career assembling, maintaining, and repairing medical imaging equipment for GE HealthCare and HEB Manitoba, remaining committed to his profession until retirement.
In retirement, Murray moved to Western Canada, where he embraced the natural beauty of the outdoors. He especially enjoyed hiking trails and beaches with his beloved dog Maggie and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He found peace and happiness in nature, adventure, and the freedom of the open road.
Murray was predeceased by his parents, Lois and Barry; his brother Gordon; and his niece Erin. He leaves behind his children, Lindsay and Jason; his brother Rob (Cindy); and many friends made throughout his life, from childhood through adulthood and during his travels.
In keeping with Murray's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family asks that those who knew and loved Murray celebrate his memory privately.
