FREDERICK GERALD (GERRY) SNEESBY

August 30, 1938 - April 29, 2026

Gerry passed away quickly on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at St. Boniface Hospital and will be greatly missed by those that knew him.

He is survived by his sons, Kevin (Terri) and Bryce (Paige); granddaughters, Lauren and Danielle; and many family members.

Gerry was predeceased by the love of his life Jackie, his parents, all his siblings and many of his friends.

He loved and was proud of his family from Woodside to Winnipeg. His easy manner, kindness, great smile and laugh endeared him to those that knew him and strangers alike.

Gerry enjoyed working for many years at the CNR, Montreal Trust and CRA. When he "retired" he worked for the City Board of Revision into his early 80s.

He loved to travel, return to see family in western Manitoba, social events, all sporting events and to lend a helping hand. Gerry was a lifelong fan and supporter of the Winnipeg Jets and Blue Bombers. But most of all Gerry loved to spend time and support the love of his life Jackie who predeceased him three years earlier. Gerry missed Jackie very much and is now reunited with her.

The Celebration of Gerry’s Life will be held at the Winnipeg Winter Club, 200 River Avenue, Winnipeg on Saturday, June 13, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a time of reflection at 2:30 p.m. For those not able to attend in person, Gerry’s service will be webcast from his memorial page at: www.memorieschapel.com.

Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made in Gerry’s memory to Heart and Stroke Foundation, 1200-2300 Yonge Street, Box 2414, Toronto, ON, M4P 1E4 or Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.
