With great sadness we announce that Jay transitioned to his next great adventure on May 27, 2026, after a hard-fought battle with cancer at the age of 54.
Predeceased by both his parents, Jay will be mourned by his many friends who were like Jay's brothers and sisters. Jay was a fierce and loyal friend, and it was our privilege to walk with him through his life journey. We will all remember him with great love.
Jay has been cremated as he wished. Many thanks to BC Cancer and the amazing staff at St. John's Hospice who showed incredible kindness to Jay in his final months. Donations in Jay's memory can be made to the BC SPCA at 1205 East 7th Avenue Vancouver, BC V5T 1R1.
