It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our wonderful mother, on May 27, 2026 at the age of 89 years.
A family service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bernice may be made to a charity of choice.

Bernice was a singularly gracious, patient, good natured, and kind person. I remember how easily she could be made to laugh, even when the joke was at her own expense. Although Harvey used to have us all in stitches with his litany of faux complaints about Bernice, deep down he knew, as did we all, that he had absolutely nothing to complain about. I will never forget my frequent guest experiences at the Bertram’s Clear Lake cabin, but especially the time I became afflicted with the dreaded itch. Bernice did her very best to help me cope with this miserable condition, ensuring that it did not completely destroy what otherwise was the highlight of my summer.
