Lorraine Janzen, 88, of Winnipeg, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026.
Born May 23, 1938, in Winnipeg, Lorraine lived a life filled with love for her family, treasured friendships, and countless acts of kindness. She was known for her young heart, curious nature, and the welcoming spirit that made everyone feel at home.
Lorraine is lovingly remembered by her sons, Brent (Patricia) and Kevin (Kara), and her daughter Cheryl; her grandsons, Jamie and Paul; her granddaughters, Cheryl (Jeff), Hannah, Olivia, Emma, and Ava; and her great-granddaughters, Grace and Zoey. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ernie, and her daughter, Bonnie.
Lorraine found great joy in cooking, painting, and spending summers with family at Westhawk Lake. She also cherished the lifelong friendships she formed in nursing school and treasured every opportunity to gather with those she loved.
Lorraine will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for her warmth, kindness, and caring nature. The love she shared and the memories she created will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held later in the summer, and the family will announce the details once they are finalized.
