• Simone has been a very dear friend of mine since kindergarten. Her passing means that I have lost a friend that I could call at any time and tell all of my joys and sorrows to. As young teenagers we loved to go to K Mart together and scout out the deals. I will always remember the times that we spent at her parents’ cottage and will always be grateful to them for making me feel welcome and at home. There were so many sleepovers where we tried to stay up the entire night; not sure if we ever succeeded. I cherished the times that we went out trick or treating for Halloween. My favourite costume was our 2 headed ghost (basically a sheet with four eye holes cut into it). Of course there are too many good times to recount them all and a few paragraphs can never adequately convey what her friendship meant to me. Such a caring person and such an amazing friend.
