Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONALD STEWART PAYNE
With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Donald Stewart Payne on June 18, 2026, at the age of 90, with his loving family by his side. Don lived a long and healthy life, remaining active until suffering a stroke in December, after which he faced his final months with quiet strength.
He was predeceased in 2022 by his beloved wife of 63 years, Doreen Payne - his partner in life, love, and laughter.
Don will be deeply missed by his children, Greg (Laurie) and Tracey (Joe); his grandchildren, Kayla (Andrew), Adriana, Kristina, and Chloe; his great-granddaughter, Millie; and many other family members and friends.
Don will be remembered for his integrity, strong work ethic, and infectious sense of humour. He loved making people laugh and lighting up the dance floor with Doreen. A devoted husband and father, he cherished time spent with family - whether camping at Grand Beach, summers at Victoria Beach, skiing out west, or travelling to destinations like Hawaii, Mexico, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and Italy.
Don will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by many.

I’m so sorry for the loss of your father, Greg. My heartfelt condolences to you and your family during this difficult time. Although I never had the privilege of meeting your dad, I feel like I knew a little about him through the many stories you shared over the years. It was clear how profoundly he shaped your life and the values he instilled in you, especially the importance of family, hard work, and integrity. My hope is that you find comfort and peace in knowing he is now reunited with your mom and with those who have gone before him. May the memories you shared together continue to bring you strength in the days ahead. Thinking of you and your family! - Posted by: Christian Tardi (Family Friend) on: Jun 28, 2026
