It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Joseph Hooey, born April 7, 1950. Bob passed away on June 18, 2026 at the age of 76. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Lyndsey and Michelle (Jeff), his granddaughters Frankie and Goldie, and by his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

So sorry to hear. Worked with Bob for many years at MTC, stage left at Rainbow Stage, Concert Hall etc. Bob was a master IATSE stagehand who specialized in diagnosing and solving complex problems in the theatre. He credited himself regularly with saving many shows over the years. “The show must go on” was Bob’s credo, making sure no matter the technical difficulties, unexpected crises, the curtain rises and the performance is delivered flawlessly.
