Date of Passing: Jul 01, 2026
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHOMAS BRIAN (TRIGGER) TROSKY
Passed away peacefully at home July 1, 2026, aged 84, his dog Covy at his feet.
Tom lived like a legend, and died like one too.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sharon Kenny Trosky, and his loving family.
When asked what he’d say to God first, Tom replied: "Where’s the first tee box?" Knowing him, he’s already found it - right after asking where he left his glasses.
Toast to Trigger: Saturday, July 18, 2026, 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Kingswood Golf Club. In lieu of flowers, bring Sharon wine.

Mr. Trotsky taught me both Grade 10 & 11 English at John Taylor Collegiate around 1997-98. I earned the accolade of “Ace” in his class for being the individual that generally scored the highest in his class, only finding out later that every class had an “Ace” haha. Generally being quite shy, I would try to avoid eye contact with Mr. Trotsky whenever he would ask the class a question. You know that as soon as his eyes locked with yours and he cracked a smile, you were targeted for answering the question! He introduced us to Shakespeare (Othello definitely being my favourite), and definitely helped with my love of reading to this day. Thank you for everything Mr. Trosky, you will be missed! - Posted by: Corey (Former Student) on: Jul 11, 2026

My sincere condolences to Sharon and family. I only met Tom a couple of times but he seemed like a great guy with an awesome sense of humour. I pray that the wonderful memories you carry of Tom will bring you peace and joy until you meet again. - Posted by: Paulette Morrison (Former coworker of Sharon’s) on: Jul 11, 2026
