MYRTLE (RAE) RINN

(nee WEBBER)

With deep sadness our family mourns the passing of Myrtle “Rae” Rinn (nee Webber) of Carman Manitoba on June 22nd 2026, at the age of 84.

Rae was born on January 11, 1942, second eldest child to her parents Thomas and Pearl Webber of Miami, Manitoba. She spent her childhood with her siblings on the farm west of Miami, before moving away to teacher’s college after high school. It was her first teaching job that would bring her to Snowflake Manitoba, where she met the love of her life, Robert. They would marry in 1962 and begin their nearly 64 years of marriage, most of which was on the farm south of Snowflake. Here they would raise their family before moving to Carman in 2010 after retirement. Summers in Carman and winters in Texas became routine before illness moved her into the Boyne Lodge in 2020.

To say family and friendships were important to Rae, would be an understatement- rivaled only by her love for music. She loved to visit, bake and spend time with those close to her. She took immense joy watching her children compete athletically and perform musically; it was that love of music which stayed with her right to the end. She will be remembered as a gentle soul with a strong faith and a heart which knew no bounds.

Rae is survived by her husband Robert Rinn, Daughter Vicki (Paul) Rinn-Stechkewich, Son Tom (Kristin) Rinn, grandchildren Addison (Ben) Danylchuk, Brooklyn Stechkewich, Peyton and Maddox Rinn, as well as many extended family and friends who loved her dearly.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday August 11 at 1:00pm in the Manitou United Church, with committal service at St. Mary’s Anglican cemetery, Kaleida MB.
