  • My condolences to Brenda and family. I worked with Bob in several departments over the years and had the privilege to be with him in his last year of work. Bob was driven to succeed from the smallest tasks to the largest project. I learned a lot from him and in later years in government we became friends as he transitioned to retirement. Rest in peace. You deserve all of it. - Posted by: Harold Thomson ((Friend)) on: Jul 30, 2026

I remember him being so welcoming to me and supportive when I started a new position in the Education Department. I considered him a friend as well as colleague because he was so easy going. May the wonderful memories of your time with him comfort you through this difficult time. - Posted by: Norma Spence (Former colleague) on: Jul 28, 2026

  • I well remember Bob from his days in Advanced Education and Training. It goes without saying that he brought considerable credit to the Department, within government and in various communities. He was the epitome of responsibility and commitment. I was sorry when he moved to another position. Perhaps most important were Bob’s personal decency and morality. I remember one night being what I thought was alone in Nelson House. Everyone from government had left, assuming I was with someone else. Who should appear but Bob, saying he knew I needed a ride. So we drove through a bitter January night,Bob at the wheel, ice on the road, and great ambience in the car. What a terrific guy! My condolences to the family whom I never met but certainly heard plenty—all positive. - Posted by: Diane McGifford (Former Minister of Advanced Education and Training) on: Jul 25, 2026

  • I worked with Bob back when he was the Director of Project Neecheewam. With his affable personality, good humour and positive energy, Bob was well liked by everyone. He was good at a lot of things. I remember the huge crowd that came to his retirement party. Alzheimer’s is a cruel disease and it took away a very talented and very loved man. Dear Brenda: my sincere condolences to you and your children. May your memories provide comfort and peace to you. - Posted by: Gayle Michalyshyn (Former colleague) on: Jul 25, 2026
