It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Norman on July 19, 2026.
Norman was predeceased by his parents John and Caroline (nee Priesantanz) Walker, his two brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by his wife Adele (nee Pecchia), sisters-in-law Bernice Walker and Frances Baldwin as well as his many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his dog Eddie who was his loyal and faithful companion.
Norman was born on the family farm in the Tupper District of Plumas, Manitoba. He attended Maitland School for grades one to nine and then Plumas High School for grades ten to twelve. From 1956 to 1959, he was employed by the Manitoba Medical Service (an insurance company) and the Canadian Wheat Board operating IBM machines in accounting. In 1959, he began working with the Canadian Forestry Service in forest research. His area of work was within Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta. He retired in 1994.
Norman was born in the Lutheran Faith and was baptized and confirmed by Zion Luther Church of Tupper and then Plumas, Manitoba.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 1541 St. Mary’s Road, Winnipeg, MB.
