It is with heavy hearts that we share the devastating loss of our beloved husband and adored dad, Boris Michael Shwetz, at the age of 72.
Left to mourn his loss is his wife, Linda, of 44 years, his daughters, Kelsey (Philip) and Courtney. He also leaves his brother, Zenon, sister, Sherry (Frank), sister-in-law, Donna (Glen), nephew, Joey, niece, Brenda, great-niece and nephew, Brooke and Erek. Boris was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Teenie, and his in-laws, Gloria and Lou.
Born in Gilbert Plains and raised in Dauphin, Manitoba, Boris was easygoing, grounded, down to earth and had a great sense of humour. He had a calm presence, a generous heart and always put his family first. Throughout his career as a welder at Motor Coach Industries and a freelance painter, Boris took great pride in his work and provided tirelessly for his family.
Above all else, he was a devoted dad who would do anything for his two daughters. Boris loved simple pleasures: gardening, puzzles, going for coffee, baking and being a handyman. He leaves behind countless cherished memories and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that his love will remain with us forever.
A private interment ceremony with immediate family will be held in Boris' honour. Following the ceremony, Boris’ family invites friends and loved ones for a Celebration of Life at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 3:30 p.m.
Floral tributes are welcome and may be delivered to Glen Eden Funeral Home address.
