GEORGE ALLAN CREAMER
Dad passed away peacefully July 6, 2026, at the River East Personal Care Home.
Dad will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his daughters Pam and Cindy and son-in-laws Ed and Gerry; grandchildren Michael (Marlene), Dale (Amber), Corinne (Ken), Ken (Laura) and Derek (Lesley); and his great-grandchildren Chloe, Adelaide, Adam, Harrison, Leo and Brody. Also remembered by his sisters in law Dolly, Mary (Keith), and Lois plus many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dad will now be reunited with his wife, Jeanne, parents Gordon and Caroline, sisters Evelyn, Lillian, Margaret, and brother Gordon, and brothers-in-law Orval, Merton, Ernie and sister-in-law Vida in Heaven.
Dad was born and raised at 833 William Avenue in Winnipeg. He was the youngest of four siblings. Life must have been challenging as Grandpa returned wounded from the war and Nana helped the family survive through sewing. He learned his handy man skills as Grandpa encouraged him to “try” many things. Their home was always a welcoming place. As a young boy, he was a member of the Sea Cadets and loved spending summers at the farm in Rapid City MB. Dad loved taking care of his critters - dogs, chickens and pigeons. Dad continued his love of pigeons from childhood into his 93rd year. In later years, he joked that you could identify his place because it always had pictures of pigeons on the wall and he loved to reminiscence about them.
Dad left school early as many did and got a job with the Hudson Bay Company as a delivery driver. He thoroughly enjoyed his job and took great pride in the excellent care he gave his customers. When The Bay stopped its delivery, Dad bought his truck and worked for Alpine Delivery.
Mom and Dad were married for 67 years buying their first home on Beach Avenue in Winnipeg and then moving to Hillview in Birds Hill. They enjoyed camping and travelling while raising their family. Dad loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His eyes would light up, and he would have the biggest smile when we shared stories about them.
Dad was a busy guy. He could always be counted on to help out, and fix or make something if needed. He took on leadership roles as a member of St. Saviour’s Anglican Church and in the pigeon club. He enjoyed teasing and kept us laughing with his sense of humor. He’d get a twinkle in his eye, and you knew a comment was coming your way. He was a tall guy but was a bit of a softy deep inside. He also gave the biggest hugs.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 31, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home.
Dad, we know you and Mom are watching over us. Rest in Peace. We will hold you in our hearts always.
