MARLENE JOAN SWICKIS
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marlene Joan Swickis on July 19, 2026, with family by her side.
Born in Winnipeg on April 23, 1948, Marlene is lovingly remembered by her husband of 57 years, Walter; her children, Darrell, David, and Tannis (Mick); her grandchildren, Chelsea (Michael), Declan (Cali), Codey (Gabby), Travis, Jade (Scott), April (Hayden), and Rose; and her great-grandchildren, River and Leif.
After a rewarding career in health care, Marlene retired early and devoted herself to her family. She especially cherished time with her grandchildren, creating lasting memories through her love, kindness, and encouragement.
Marlene found joy in quilting, gardening, antiques, garage sales, and the Christmas season. She was known for her generous heart, gentle spirit, and ability to make everyone feel welcome. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
The family extends sincere thanks to the staff at Selkirk Regional Health Centre for their compassionate care.
