With sorrow we inform you of the passing of George on July 22, 2026, at Riverview Health Centre following a stroke.
Born in Saskatchewan on January 20, 1943, George grew up on a farm in Coaldale, AB, the youngest of nine. He graduated from CMBC in 1968 and Bluffton College in 1969. His careers included teaching in Cranberry Portage, establishing D’8 Schtove restaurant and 17 years as a publishing business owner.
He is survived by his daughter Jane (Ulises); grandchildren, Blaise, Meadow, Ian, and Noa; and life partner Lee. He was predeceased by his son Todd (2017), his parents, and eight siblings.
A memorial service will be held at All Saints Anglican Church on Broadway, Friday, August 7, 2026 at 10:30 am.
