DAVID MITCHELL OMICHINSKI
With his family at his side, David “Dave” Omichinski passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026, at Portage District General Hospital at the age of 72 years.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Barb; as well as his children, Pam (Mark), Chris, and Lisa (Mathieu); his two grandchildren, Alex and Braeden; his siblings, Marna, Sandy (Gil), Lori (Ray), and Mike (Kathy); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Aime and Isabelle.
A celebration of Dave's life will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the William Glesby Centre in Portage la Prairie. The service will be livestreamed; to register and view, visit Dave’s obituary page at mckenziesportagefuneralchapel.com.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dave’s memory to CancerCare Manitoba or Portage District General Hospital Foundation.
