In loving memory of our beloved Kristina Rae, who passed away suddenly on July 23, 2026.
Kristina was the cherished daughter of Norman Markus; a loving sister to Kerris (Chris), Kim (Trevor), and Ryan (Jenna). She was a dear friend to many, and most importantly, an auntie, who truly adored her little gems - Nadia (Kelly), Logan (Brooklyn), Kayla, Taylor, Owen, Brady, Des, Devon, Brooklyn, and her great-nephew, Hartlen, as well as her great-nieces, Stella and Zoey.
She was welcomed into Heaven by her mother, Theresa Markus, her niece, Sarah Jane, and her great-nephew, Korbyn. We find comfort in knowing they are together again, celebrating their joyful reunion in glory.
Kristina had a remarkable gift for making everyone she met feel special. Her gentle spirit, endless kindness, and selfless heart touched the lives of so many. Even while facing illness with extraordinary strength and grace, she continued to inspire everyone around her with her resilience and unwavering love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the WRHA and all of Kristina’s home care staff for their compassionate care and support over the years, as well as the dialysis team at Seven Oaks Hospital for the exceptional care they provided throughout her treatments.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kristina’s memory to the Kidney Foundation.
