MARILYN HAWRANIK
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marilyn who passed away at home on July 24, 2026, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, leaving to mourn sisters Eileen and Debrah and brothers Gerald and George, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Marilyn was predeceased by her parents Charles & Elsie and a sister Doreen.
Marilyn was born in Whitemouth, Manitoba on November 1, 1954. She made many lifelong friends at her workplace, where she retired after 38 years from St. Boniface Hospital. Her passion after retirement was volunteering at the Assiniboine Park Zoo & Wildlife Rescue where she developed many dear friendships.
Marilyn will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at the Viscount Gort in Winnipeg at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, August 14, 2026, with a later burial at the Whitemouth Roman Catholic Church Cemetery near her parents, her sister and her grandparents. In place of cards and flowers, donations can be made to the Assiniboine Park Zoo or Cancer Care Manitoba.
