Ted transitioned into Eternal life on August 2, 2026, at age 90, to re-join the love of his life, Shirley. Born in MacGregor, MB, to Thelma and Harry Jones, he was the eldest of six siblings.
Ted and Shirley shared 65 wonderful years together. Ted is survived by two daughters, Gay-Lynne Jones (Sharon Greene) and Joy Boudreau (Wayne); grandsons, Colten (Presley) and Brett (Brooke); sister Dianna Unrau; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.
His family was his greatest joy. Ted literally glowed whenever he spoke of his daughters and grandsons and their accomplishments. He was truly their biggest fan and greatest supporter in everything they did.
A distinguished military career spanning over 36 years saw Ted retire as a Chief Warrant Officer and awarded the Order of Military Merit, for exceptional service to Canada. Upon retiring, he served as the Executive Director of the Manitoba Figure Skating Association.
A committed Freemason since 1992, Ted served as Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Manitoba (2008) and held numerous leadership positions throughout the order.
Celebration of Life: Monday, August 10, 11:00 a.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Ave. Interment to follow at Austin Cemetery, Manitoba.
