Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMAURICE (MAU) DUFAULT
Maurice Joseph Dufault passed away peacefully on the morning of July 31, 2026 at the age of 79, surrounded by his sons. His final hours were peaceful and free from pain.
He was a devoted husband to his adored late wife Judith Dufault, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage; the proud father to his two sons, Aaron and Brenden Dufault; and a loving grandfather to Lilly, Arienne, and Aven.
Maurice served as a police officer for 31 years with the Winnipeg police service. He approached his career with integrity, courage, and took great pride in serving his community. His years in policing were an important part of his life, but his greatest pride was his family.
He will be remembered as a strong and dignified man who believed in helping and protecting others. He loved woodworking, architecture, and football. Those who knew him will remember his humour, generosity, and intelligence.
The family is grateful to all the staff at Brightwater Linden Pointe for the compassionate care they gave him.
A service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 12, 2026, Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ducks Unlimited Canada.
