LARRY WALTER BOZOHORA


It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Larry Walter Bozohora who died peacefully on July 24, 2026, in Calgary, AB.

Larry is lovingly remembered by his beloved wife, Rita; affectionately by his daughter, Summer (Carrie) of Edmonton, AB, his son, Todd (Bawanthi) of Toronto, ON; and his granddaughter, Oriya Whalen of Edmonton, AB. He is also survived by his sister, Patricia Hasiuk; his nephew, Greg (Paula); and his niece, Brenda (Duncan), all of Winnipeg, MB. Larry will be fondly remembered by his lifelong friend and soulmate, Wayne Buzahora (Doreen); his close cousins, Jerry (Susan), Dennis (Angela), and his special friend, Margaret "Maggie" Shylo.

Larry will also be dearly missed by his brothers-in-law: Jim (Judy) MacDonald of Barrie, ON; and John (the late Maureen) MacDonald of Burlington, ON. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Marie (the late Charles) Lorway, Joan (Gordon) Sutherland, and Imelda (the late Edward) MacDonald, all of NS, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Larry was predeceased by his parents, Ann (Panagapko) and Walter Bozohora; his brothers-in-law, Ernest Hasiuk of Winnipeg, MB, Michael McDonald (the late Beverly) of ON; as well as Edward MacDonald, Charles Lorway, and Dougal MacIntyre (the late Lucene), all of NS; and his close friend, Michael Shylo of Winnipeg, MB.

Larry enjoyed a successful career as a geophysicist in Calgary's oil and gas industry. He was deeply passionate about his profession and found great joy in golfing, fishing, gardening, hunting, travelling, scuba diving, and playing cribbage. Whether exploring the outdoors or spending time with those he loved, Larry embraced life with enthusiasm.

He will be remembered for his kind heart, his love of adventure, and the many friendships he cultivated throughout his life. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

In accordance with Larry's wishes, no funeral service will be held.

In living memory of Larry Bozohora, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area by McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes.
