MARJORIE (MARGERY) LYSOHIR

(nee LEDWOS)

September 14, 1939 - June 24, 2026

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Margery at the age of 86 at Kin Place Personal Care Home in Oakbank, Manitoba.

She was predeceased by her husband, Stephen; parents, Joseph and Tina; and brothers Bruno and Stanley. She is survived by her sons, Randy (Kelly) and Ryan; daughter Linda (Robert); grandchildren, Catherine and Joshua, and Austin Johnson; and nephew, Jason Ledwos.

Margery was born and raised in Selkirk, Manitoba. It was here she met and married Stephen to whom she was married for 50 years prior to his passing, and where she raised her three children. Margery was a stay-at-home mother for most of her life. Her children were her world and she raised them to be independent and hard working. Later, she was extremely happy to be a grandma to Catherine and Josh.

Mom loved music including old-time country and western performers such as Hank Snow, and Hank Williams as well as early rock and roll pioneers like Buddy Holly. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her flower beds all summer long. She enjoyed collecting ornaments, knickknacks, Chotskies, etc., especially from places she travelled to. She laughed heartily at her favourite television sitcoms such as Golden Girls and Three's Company. She loved cats and we had a particularly spoiled one (Tigger) all of our childhood. Most of all, Mom loved Christmas. It was the one time of year that she went all out with decorations, food, and especially spoiling her kids with an overabundance of presents on Christmas morning!

Her family would like to thank all the personnel at Kin Place for the utmost of care she received while residing there for the past five years.
