LILLIAN SIWICKI

May 7, 1947 - August 12, 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Lillian Siwicki (nee Saindon), age 79, on August 12, 2026 at Bethesda Hospital, following a short but courageous battle with cancer.

Lillian was the beloved wife of Jim Siwicki, her husband of 58 years. Jim was her world, from the very beginning of their life together, Lillian devoted herself to taking care of Jim and the family they built together. She found much of her happiness in caring for her husband and their children, and her love for Jim never wavered.

She will be deeply missed by her children, Michael (Tracy) and Debbie (Grant); her grandchildren, Mitch, Mikaela (Tyler), Jordin (Brandsen), and Camrin (Noah); and her great-grandchildren, Abbadon, Calcifier and Azalea.

Lillian absolutely adored her grandchildren. They brought her great joy and were such an important part of her life. She loved hearing about their lives, spending time with them and, in her own special way, making sure they were always taken care of and knew how much they were loved.

Lillian was predeceased by her parents, Angeline and Thomas Saindon; her brother, Danny; and her sister, Diane.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her brothers, Rolly (April), Lionel (Teresa), and Ed (Darlene) and her sisters, Laurie (Terry), Lise (Tony), and Lucy (Don), along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Lillian found happiness in the simple things that made a house a home. She loved gardening and took great pride in her flowers. She loved searching for new recipes, trying them out on Dad and send them to everyone. No one ever left Mom’s house hungry - or without leftovers.

Saturday nights were special. She looked forward to going out for supper with Jim and the Saturdays when they came home to play cards.

Above all, Lillian was a wife, mother and grandmother who built her life around the people she loved. Her family was her greatest accomplishment and her greatest joy. She gave so much of herself to taking care of others, always making sure the people she loved were fed, comfortable and cared for.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the Dialysis Unit at Bethesda Hospital, especially Candace, who developed a very special bond with Lillian. Your kindness, compassion and care meant so much to Lillian and to her family.

Lillian will be forever loved, forever missed, and forever remembered. Her love will live on through Jim, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all those fortunate enough to have known her.

A service of remembrance will be held on Friday August 21, 2026 at Green Acres Funeral Home at 10:00 am.
