FRANK QUIRING
Frank Quiring passed away peacefully with family on his 90th birthday August 11, 2026. He was born in 1936 in Schoenau, South Russia, to Agnes and Johann Quiring. His family first immigrated to Paraguay as part of the Great Trek mid 1940’s and made one last trip in 1951 to settle as a family in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Frank met his wife Tina at a church picnic in 1954. At his passing, they were 6 days shy of their 69th Wedding Anniversary. Over the past year dad focused his attention on his bride, dedicated in escorting her throughout Bethania and to the many family meals at the Tea House. Keeping her sewing machine running was his full-time job, and surprisingly dad learned the art of ironing quilted squares as they made MCC blankets together.
Frank was predeceased by his father Johann (year unknown), mother Agnes (2007) and brother John (2022). He will be missed by his wife Tina, children Lillian (Dave), Gordon, Darlene (Paul), Robert (Monica) and Darren (Valerie) and his 16 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.
Friends Funeral Service located at 2146 Main Street will host his funeral on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
In leu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mennonite Central Committee.
