April 18, 1932 – August 8, 2026


Odile passed away at Concordia Hospital on August 8, 2026, at the age of 94.

Odile was born in La Broquerie, MB. on April 18, 1932. Her parents were Joseph Charles Beaupré and Marie-Louise Morin. Her husband, Odon Ostrowski, predeceased her July 23, 2011. She was also predeceased by her seven brothers: Joseph (Annette), Philippe (Denise), Edmond (Eva), Léo (Blanche), Alphonse (Catherine), Paul, and Eugène (Jeannine). She was predeceased by her stepmother, Cécile Laramée (née Dupont) and her stepbrother Maurice Laramée; her sisters, Agnès, Marguerite, Jeannette (Roland Brisson) and Marie, m.o.

She leaves to mourn her passing seven children: Sonia, Virginia (Robert Freynet), Marietta (Eugene Talbot, deceased), Nita (religious order Famille Myriam), Conrad (Sandra Le Sage), Pierre (Gwen Penner) and André; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; also, her sisters, Jeanne Beaupré and Yvonne Beaupré; many nephews and nieces.

While living in Somerset, MB, with her family from 1967 to 1990, where Odon was teaching at the Somerset Collegiate, Odile volunteered in the Comite Cultural as its secretary for 17 years and in the Music, Poetry and Drama Festivals.

After moving to St. Vital in 1990, Odile worked part-time at Ecole St-Germain for six years.

During her retirement she enjoyed working on her family’s genealogy, was an avid reader of world history, and kept well informed of current events. She enjoyed visits and calls from her family.

Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Joseph the Worker Parish (505 Brewster St), Transcona, with Monsignor Comeault presiding. She will be laid to rest in Assumption Cemetery.
