Following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, Charlie died peacefully on August 11, 2026, at the Health Sciences Centre in his 72nd year. Charlie was the youngest child of David Oliver Reece and Mary McIvor Reece (née MacColl) and is predeceased by them and his two brothers, Al and Phil. He is survived by his sister, Joan, numerous nieces and nephews, and other family, all of whom will miss him dearly.
Charlie had a long career in construction and, after he retired, kept busy with gardening, watching sports, and maintaining friends' and family's homes. He was loved by all - family, friends, and animals alike. Charlie was generous with his time and skills and would never say no to anyone who asked him for help. Charlie loved being up at Victoria Beach and had dreamed of travelling the world. In keeping with that dream, his ashes will be scattered in the Red River and Lake Winnipeg, so he can continue that journey.
