On August 16, 2026, Alex died in his home surrounded by his family and went to be with his Saviour Jesus Christ.
He was born in Montreal, Quebec to Harold Ross and Florence Klein. He was predeceased by his parents and stepmother Min, his sister Sheila and brother Brian.
His pride and joy were taking care of his family. He loved to be at home in his house, '242' and cook for his family and dote on them. He leaves behind many happy memories with his wife of 43 years Bonnie Ammeter, his children, Christina Swart (Phil), James Ross (Jenna), grandchildren, Christian, Anna, Mary, Addie, Alexander and Eloise, brother Clyde Ross (Stephanie), sister Janet Ross (Michael), brother-in-law Dennis Ammeter (Claudette), Kerry Ammeter (Val) sister-in-law Mardi Weltman, nephews: Tawny Ross, Jared Ross, Peter Ammeter, Simon Ammeter, nieces: Susan Ammeter, Laura Ammeter, Samantha Ross and Courtenay Ross.
He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Starbuck and later Messiah Lutheran Church in Winnipeg. He graduated in Hotel Management from Cornell University in 1964. He had a long-time successful career in commercial real estate with Cushman-Wakefield Stevenson.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Starbuck, Manitoba with interment to follow at Starbuck Cemetery.
