Faye Marlene Murray (née Wallace) passed away peacefully in her apartment in Winnipeg on July 23, 2026, at age 92.
Born in Regina on November 9, 1933, to Stephen and Annie Wallace, Faye grew up in a large family with ten siblings and many foster children. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 69 years, John Ross Murray, who passed on October 11, 2025. Together, they raised three children - Sharon, Stephen, and Mitzi - during years of military service before retiring and spending over 30 years in Carman, Manitoba.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg. Tributes can be shared at Ethical Death Care.
Interment for Faye and Ross will occur next year at Zelma Memorial Cemetery in Saskatchewan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to support the cemetery's preservation. Contact Sharon Bain at 204-298-4467 if additional info required.
