Johnathon (John) Muir, 39, of Drayton Valley, Alberta, passed away unexpectedly on August 17, 2026. John was larger than life, with a love of family, football, adventure, laughter and life. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Anastasia (Annie); children Gage, Ryder, Kinzley and Braxton; parents Brenda, Ian and Nicole; siblings Megan, Kerilynn and Zach; Granny Pat, extended family and many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Paul's United Church in Souris on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Kowalchuk's Funeral Home, Souris, in care of arrangements.

Well big man. You lived life. You came to our community and brought all your energy and passion too. The world needs people like you so that we dont stand still and get left behind. You left a beautiful wife and kids. But you brought them up well. I am sure they will try to fill your boots and look after Annie.
