Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Early in my business career, I was struggling to find good problems to solve and customers who needed them solved. Wayne was a friend of my dad's and well connected in the Winnipeg business community, and my dad suggested I talk to him to better understand his industry and where I might be able to help. Wayne took the time to explain things to me. He pointed out the pitfalls, and he created opportunity for me. More importantly, he gave me confidence that what I was building had value. He was a truly kind and thoughtful man, and I am grateful he made time for a young person who was still figuring it out. I ran into him several times over the decades and he always remembered me. - Posted by: Darryl Stewart (Admirer) on: Aug 23, 2026

  • Growing up beside the Morrison family on Churchill Drive, there seemed to be little difference between neighbor and family. I hold memories of Wayne’s kindness. When a visit with his mom concluded, Wayne would always take the few steps to our home and visit with my mom. She treasured each of those visits and remembered them for as long as she lived. To Sue, to Michelle, to Michael, and to every member of the Morrison family, my brother Jon and I send our deepest sympathy upon your loss. The world is always a better place when every member of the Morrison family is in it. Wayne will never be forgotten; he will be forever missed. - Posted by: Jon and Sharon (Pilkey) (Forever Neighbor and Friend) on: Aug 22, 2026
