Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Oh my, this is such sad news. While miles and time may have separated us, the memories and friendship stay true. Barbara was a very special person, who I had the honour of hiring into IBM. When I read her application letter, I could sense warmth, ease, and talent. But alas, she was away and not available for an interview. But, I just had a feeling, so I said we’ll just wait for her to come back. And so we did, and the rest is history. I will never forget her elegance, humour and caring nature. May she rest in peace and those that love her know that she made a lasting impact on the lives of many friends. ❤️ - Posted by: Carolyn Chorney (Friend) on: Sep 04, 2026

  • I am very saddened to hear of Barb’s passing. I offer my sincerest condolences to the family and close friends. I worked with Barb at IBM and she was smart, capable, beautiful and funny. She had this can-do attitude and if she liked you, she would do anything she could for you. She’s gone way too soon. I cannot make her memorial because I’m out of the country, but I’m so sad to miss it. - Posted by: Beth Bell (IBM friend d) on: Aug 29, 2026
