DON KOETKE
Donald “Don” Keith Koetke, 85, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2026, at Albert House Hospice in Moncton, NB. Born in Edmonton, Alberta, he was the son of the late Fred and Thora (Lindström) Koetke.
A longtime Manitoba resident, Don left his native Alberta in 1961 for an assignment with the RCMP in St-Pierre-Jolys, followed by a stint in Beausejour, and finally settling in Minnedosa for nearly 30 years.
Don is survived by his wife of 27 years, Diane (Budd) Koetke; sons, Scott Koetke (Grace) and David Koetke (Katherine); two granddaughters; three stepsons; and three step-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Fergusons Funeral Home in Moncton, NB. Donations in memoriam may be made to the ALS Society of NB & NS.
