Peacefully on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, Andrew Winchar, aged 95 years of Winnipeg, MB, passed away at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg.
Cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.

Sincere sympathies to Andy’s 2 sons and 1 daughter and to Kae, on the loss of Andy. He lived a good long life, something to celebrate. Andy and Kae were like “parents” to us, and took us under their wing to indoctrinate us into all things Texas, as we were new to the whole snowbird scene. Andy had lived in Mexico for some years, when times were safe, and knew everything there was about Progresso which he readily passed to us. We remember many card games, outings, dancing and laughter with them. Andy had lots of opinions on lots of subjects - we recall many discussions and teasing about American politics, and everything else under the sun- all in good fun.
