JUDY HARDIMAN
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Judy Hardiman (née Watkins) on August 13, 2026, in Winnipeg, surrounded by her family.
Judy was known for her warmth, humour, kindness, and genuine love of people. In her younger years, she was a proud Bomberette cheerleader for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. She saw the good in others, found joy in life, and had a special way of making everyone feel welcome and valued.
Judy was predeceased by her parents, Frank "Bunny" and Margaret "Peggy" Watkins, and her first husband, George Sheldon. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Gord Hardiman; her children, Cindy Wood (née Sheldon) and Brad Sheldon; her beloved granddaughter, Ashley Wood; her sister, Claudia Gavery; and Jackie Sheldon, who was like a second daughter to Judy.
Throughout her life, Judy owned and operated several businesses, including the Husky and the Tower Motel in Kenora. She was a natural businesswoman, but the people she met along the way always mattered most.
Judy will be deeply missed, but her love, laughter, and generous spirit will live on in all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Judy's memory to the Canadian Lung Association at lung.ca.

Judy and I became great friends at Snap Fitness Charleswood before I moved away in 2017. She made me laugh every day that we worked out together. We used to meet at the Thirsty Lion for a couple drinks too. Even after I moved away Judy would check in on me and we managed to keep in touch. I am deeply saddened to hear this news and I will miss her terribly, she was truly one of a kind Love Katie - Posted by: Katie Saull (Friend) on: Oct 29, 2026

Judy was a great friend all through School and at Churchill High and part of a whole bunch of us that hung around as just good friends. It's unfortunate to see so many of our school pals passing on in the past little while but our age is definitely getting on. We had many good memories over the years and even stayed at her Tower motel one time with several friends for the July 1 celebrations in Kenora and gas at her Husky station on several occasions. Judy is gone now but not before leaving us with many great memories from a special school friend. Rest in Peace, Judy Fran and Lionel Moore - Posted by: Fran and Lionel Moore (School friend) on: Sep 17, 2026

We were saddened to hear of Aunt Judy’s passing and we send our sympathies to her loved ones as I’m sure she will be dearly missed. We remember the years in Kap and how much fun Judy brought to family gatherings. She was gorgeous and smart and loving, may she rest in peace. Hugs from the Sheldon’s in Ontario, Debbie, Barbara, Kevin and Suzanne. - Posted by: Debbie Drew (Niece) on: Sep 09, 2026

It was a complete shock to read of Judy’s passing. She was a wonderful person and just the fact that she is no longer with us saddens me. It was a better world with her in it. As a police officer, had many cups of coffee , and conversations with Judy while on and off shift My deepest condolences to her family and friends - Posted by: Ray Csuzdi (Friend) on: Aug 30, 2026
