JUDY HARDIMAN
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Judy Hardiman (née Watkins) on August 13, 2026, in Winnipeg, surrounded by her family.
Judy was known for her warmth, humour, kindness, and genuine love of people. In her younger years, she was a proud Bomberette cheerleader for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. She saw the good in others, found joy in life, and had a special way of making everyone feel welcome and valued.
Judy was predeceased by her parents, Frank "Bunny" and Margaret "Peggy" Watkins, and her first husband, George Sheldon. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Gord Hardiman; her children, Cindy Wood (née Sheldon) and Brad Sheldon; her beloved granddaughter, Ashley Wood; her sister, Claudia Gavery; and Jackie Sheldon, who was like a second daughter to Judy.
Throughout her life, Judy owned and operated several businesses, including the Husky and the Tower Motel in Kenora. She was a natural businesswoman, but the people she met along the way always mattered most.
Judy will be deeply missed, but her love, laughter, and generous spirit will live on in all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Judy's memory to the Canadian Lung Association at lung.ca.
