Peacefully on August 20, 2026, Brenda passed away at the age of 85 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years Harold, son Kevin (Karen), and grandchildren Aria and Devin.
Harold was the best thing to come into Brenda and Kevin's life. Together, they traversed North America on annual summer road trips with three stops in mind: ball games for Dad, shopping malls for Mom, and amusement parks for Kev. Brenda worked as a cashier at Dominion/Safeway for most of her life. Although she hardly enjoyed it, she had several special "regular" customers at River and Osborne. Leading a modest life on Montague Ave., Brenda and Harold saved up for annual winter vacations to Hawaii, Florida and Vegas.
Mom’s life was completely fulfilled when Aria and Devin were born. Gramma never missed a game, event or concert and made the most of her early retirement years taking the kids to the beach, nail salons, Tinkertown and countless other adventures, all soundtracked by the Bee Gees Greatest Hits. If Bingo and cross-stitch were her hobbies, shopping was her superpower. We thought SHE was Santa Claus. Every Xmas the presents under the tree filled half the rec room.
The family is most appreciative of the staff at St. Norbert Personal Care Home. They truly care about their residents, and we always felt Mom was in the right place.
Our family will have a private gathering in her memory.
