It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Jan on August 20, 2026 at the age of 69 at the Health Sciences Centre after a brief health complication.
Jan was predeceased by her loving parents, Ray and Elza Taplin and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins that all played significant roles in her life.
She is survived by her sisters, Sandy Hallam (Stuart) and Judy Fordham (Murray); nieces, Lynn Flinta (Lyle), Melanie MacCarthy (Craig), Pamela Galatiuk (Danny), Sara Tory (Derri) and nephew David Hallam; great-nieces and nephews, Colby, Morgan, Hayden, Kierston, Lathen, Lochlan, and Tannum; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026 at 10:00 am at the Holy Cross Roman Catholic Parish in Winnipeg, MB (252 Dubuc Street) with an extended family interment to follow in Stonewall.
Should friends so desire, donations in memory of Jan may be made to a charity of one's choice.
A special thank you to the physicians and nurses of the high observation patient care unit at HSC for their compassionate care.
