Our beloved son, Mark James Bannister passed away on August 12, 2026 at the age of 51, surrounded by family and friends. Mark was born on February 19, 1975. He lived in Winnipeg all of his life. He was a devoted Christian and loved the Lord very much. Mark was very gregarious and had a community of friends. He was noted for his sense of humour and ability to make new friends and to make people laugh. Mark drew near those who needed hope. After graduating from John Taylor Collogate, he had a varied work life that included roles as a pressman, print sales representative, recruiter and a service advisor.
Mark is survived by his parents, Ron and Dianna; his sister Donna (Heian); his children Luke, Gillian, Cameron and Kristjan; former wife Trina (Glen), nephew Dante and nieces Dayah, and Anaiyah. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Peggy and Cliff Bannister, and Paul and Stella Leslie.
The Family would like to thank the Grace Hospital medical staff who treated Mark with compassion and care. A Celebration of Life was held August 17, 2026.
