BARBARA NICHOLSON
Barbara Nicholson (née Weisdorff) passed away peacefully in Winnipeg on August 30, 2026, at the age of 76.
Barbara was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frederick. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Family was the centre of her life, and she took great pride in her children, Shaun, Kimberly, and Frederick ("Freddie"), and in her grandchildren, Kaydn and Kyron, whom she loved "to the moon and back." She will also be lovingly remembered by her daughter-in-law, Richelle; her brother, Charles (Nancy); her sister, Roslyn (Bert); extended family; and many dear friends.
Barbara was known for her generous spirit, warm hospitality, infectious laughter, and strong personality. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and cared for. Her love, humour, and kindness will be deeply missed.
The family extends sincere thanks to Dr. Heather Domke and the compassionate team on 3E Palliative Care at Riverview Health Centre for their care and support.
In accordance with Barbara's wishes, a private gathering will be held at a later date.
Donations in Barbara's memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or CancerCare Manitoba.
