In Loving Memory
It is with deep sadness that we mourn the passing of Gloria Theresa Gonsalves of Winnipeg, Manitoba, on August 23, 2026, at the age of 78.
Gloria was born on April 20, 1948, in McKenzie, Guyana. She moved to Canada in 1970 and called Winnipeg home for 56 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Michael; her sons, Oswyn, known as Wayne (Annette), and Kevin (Kimberly); and her cherished grandchildren, Blake, Chad, Ayla, and Zander.
She will also be deeply missed by her siblings, Clyde, Irma, Rita, Len (Veronica), Jean (Roy), Lorna (John), John (Teresa), and Patricia, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Gloria's love, warmth, and unwavering devotion to her family will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Though she will be greatly missed, her memory will live on through the many lives she touched and the beautiful moments shared together. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, devotion, and cherished memories that will remain with her family and loved ones always.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Gloria's memory to the Myasthenia Gravis Society of Canada or the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation.
In keeping with Gloria's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on September 28, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Springs Church, 725 Lagimodiere Boulevard, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
