KARLENE DALE IRVINE

(nee PEICHL)

After enduring two surgeries, two exhaustive extended stays in SICU, and 111 consecutive days at Health Sciences Centre, Karlene’s body could endure no more. Sadly, she left us peacefully, on August 27, 2026, with husband Ed, daughter Kyla and son Rylan by her bedside.

If you knew Karlene, many people would be surprised to learn of her prolonged illness. Karlene never wanted to burden family or friends with the challenges she was facing with her health. Always a smile, always a brave persona, and never a down moment. Life was for living, and being present in the moment. It was impossible for Karlene to complain about anything.

She will be profoundly missed by family, many many friends, former colleagues, curling pals and exercise class; husband Ed; daughter Kyla Mostow (Tyler); son Rylan Irvine (Jenna); and grandsons, Daxon, Radix, Rory and Weston; mother Bernice Peichl; sister Marlyn Nicholson (Rene); and mother-in-law Fran Irvine;. many cousins, aunts, uncles, and niece and nephew.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Oakbank United Church 582 Balsam Crescent in Oakbank. The service will be livestreamed and can be viewed by visiting Karlene's memorial page at www.seasonsfunerals.ca. We also encourage you to go to the website to send a note, share a story or photos with the family.
