We are heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of our dear husband, dad, papa, brother, brother-in-law, son-in-law, uncle and friend.

Gord is survived by his loving wife Gail (Takeuchi), son Jeremy (Gina) and daughter Kayley, grandson Aiden and granddaughter Amelia. He is also survived by his sisters, Darlene (Randy) and Vera, brother Bruce (Regina), mother-in-law Sally Takeuchi, brother-in-law Randy (Della), sisters-in-law, Karen, Susan and Barb (Lou). He will also be dearly missed by his special Uncle Ben Howell and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Dave and Vera Moore, father-in-law Bill Takeuchi and brothers-in-law, John Kaczir and Brad Takeuchi.

Gord was a selfless, kind and thoughtful guy who was always considerate of others. He would do anything to make anyone happy. He absolutely adored his two grandchildren and was so proud of all their accomplishments. They truly brought so much joy into his life.

We will always remember him for his big heart and all the goodness that he brought into our lives.

The family would like to express our sincere thanks to the Winnipeg Fire Department, EMTs, and Winnipeg Police Services for their kind and compassionate care.

A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4000 Portage Avenue.
