It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Wilma June Marsch, on August 12, 2026, at the age of 93.
Wilma was born in Neepawa, Manitoba, on June 2, 1933, to Violet (née Stewart) and Andrew Sly.
In 1953, Wilma married Walter Marsch. Throughout the years, Wilma enjoyed spending time with her Ladies Card Club, and together, Wilma and Walter enjoyed their spare time bowling and playing crib at Branch No. 4 Legion. They especially enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, Las Vegas, British Columbia and most of all Itasca State Park in Minnesota which was discovered by accident on a family vacation and became one of her favourite places to visit for more than 50 years.
Wilma is survived by her children, Debbie (Larry) Wowryk of Shoal Lake, MB; Jim (Phyllis) Marsch of Winnipeg, MB; and Sandi (Gil) Desrochers of Chilliwack, BC. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Bob Desrochers of Langley, BC, Chantelle (Ken) Desrochers-Cools of Chilliwack, BC, Courtney Wowryk of Winnipeg, MB, and Colin (Cindy) Marsch of Seattle, Washington; her great-grandchildren, Lucas and Sawyer Desrochers of Chilliwack, BC.; her sisters-in-law, Madeleine Marsch of Winnipeg, MB, and Maureen Sly of Edmonton, AB and many nieces and nephews.

The family extends their warm thanks to all the staff at Charleswood Care Centre, for their care of Mom over the past four and a half years.
