PATRICK THEODORE (TED) MURPHY
WINNIPEG, MB - Patrick Theodore "Ted" Murphy, aged 82, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2026, at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Ted was born on January 6, 1944, in Ottawa, Ontario. He was a devoted family man known for his warmth, humorous stories, creative mind, and loving disposition.
A true romantic, Ted started dating the love of his life, Claudette Carrière, when they were 16 and they were married in Winnipeg on January 16, 1965. The couple moved to California, where they spent 16 adventuresome years and grew their family with the birth of their two children: Michelle in 1969, and Michael in 1971. In 1980 they returned to their hometown of Winnipeg.
Ted is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years; his children, M. Murphy and Michael Murphy (and wife Rebecca); his cherished grandchildren, Valkyrie, Mika, Faelen, and Maceo; and his sister Sharon Alley. A small family gathering was held to celebrate Ted's life. Donations to CancerCare Manitoba are welcome on behalf of the Murphy family.

Claudette, Michelle, Michael & family, my deepest sympathy to you all. Ted was a wonderful classy man, with a good business sense, and a devolted family man. He will be missed by all who knew him.
