Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARILYN SANDRA ELISE MARIUS
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of Marilyn Marius (née Lohr) on September 4, 2026, at Actionmarguerite Saint-Boniface, at the age of 86. She passed peacefully with her son Paul and his family by her side.
Marilyn will be deeply missed by her children, Sharon (Jim) and Paul (Tracey); her grandchildren, Krystle (Matt), Brittany (Lindsay), Cody (Joannah), and Ashley; and her great-grandchildren, Remi, Finley, Matix, Daxton, Mikayla, Jameson, Onyx, Damian, and Zy. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law Denise Marius, as well as numerous other family members and dear friends.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Gilles Marius; her parents, William and Rose Lohr; her parents-in-law, Theophile and Louise Marius; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Louis and Raymonde; and her brother-in-law, Raymond.
Marilyn had a passion for shopping and fashion. She had a keen eye for style and a love of clothes that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She was also a lifelong lover of cats and was never without one by her side since childhood.
Marilyn especially loved the fall season. Each year, she and Gilles would take a drive through St. Vital Park to admire the changing leaves - a simple tradition that brought them both so much joy. These are the kinds of memories that will be treasured by her family and carried with them always.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the amazing staff at Actionmarguerite 3ABC for the love, compassion, and care they provided to Marilyn over the past six-plus years. We will always be grateful for the kindness you showed her and our family.
In keeping with Marilyn’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be made in Marilyn’s memory to Actionmarguerite (St. Boniface) or the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
