It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Francesco Lionetti on September 11, 2026, at the age of 74. Francesco was a beloved husband to Franca, father to Maddy Lionetti (Tony Tummillo), Lore Lionetti (Saro Ciresi), nonno to Andreas and Adriano Calheiros, and Sam and Vincent Ciresi, brother to Carmela Scarpino, Angelo Lionetti, Maria Scicutella (Rafaele), and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy.
Francesco was born on January 1, 1952 in Toritto, Bari, and immigrated to Winnipeg in 1970 to begin a new chapter in his life, and to build a legacy for his family.
A celebration of Francesco’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Avenue.
Condolences at 10:00 am followed by Mass at 11:00 am. Final resting place at Holy Angel Mausoleum, 1 Green Acres Lane, Narvin/MB.
