NORMA RAE DUNCAN
On a peaceful morning the Lord came and took her home. It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear mother Norma on September 13, 2026, at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 99.
Norma was predeceased by her loving husband of 69 years Maurice, her parents, James and Annie Waters (Horner) and her siblings, David and Earl Waters.
Norma will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Sandra (Stan) Allen, her sons, David (Joan) Duncan and Craig (Jennifer) Duncan; grandchildren, James (Tanya) Allen, Christopher (Bailey) Allen, Miki-Rae (Allan) Hanslip and Meaghan Duncan. She was blessed with eight great-grandchildren, Kate, Nicole, Austin, Jolie, Isla, Doug, Eva and Fox, and one precious great-great-grandchild Jasper. She was also survived by her sister-in-law Deanna Waters.
A special thank you to all the staff at River Ridge Assisted Living for their kind care over the past 18 years and to the Middlechurch Home for their compassionate care during her final months.
In lieu of flowers, please honour Norma with a donation to your favourite charity or to Elim Chappel or the Winnipeg Humane Society.
Please join us for a special memorial service to celebrate Norma’s life at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul. An Informal reception will follow.
